Obituary

TECCE, James R.- Of Malden, unexpectedly, September 11th. Devoted husband of Jane E. (O'Connor). Beloved son of Dorothy (Brennan) Tecce of Wakefield and the late Dante Tecce. Cherished father of Melissa Hegarty and her husband Neil of Stoneham, Deanna Tecce of Malden and the late James D. A. Tecce. Loving brother of Diane Tully of Wakefield, New Hampshire. Also lovingly survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, 1 grand niece and 3 grand nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Saturday morning, September 15th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Forestdale Cemetery, Malden. Late owner of Santoro's of Peabody and member of the Peabody Lions Club and the Crystal Community Club of Wakefield. Expressions of sympathy in James' name may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute or the Myeloma-Lymphoma Research Fund, 10 Brookline Place, West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
Born in Chelsea, James at 56 years of age, passed away suddenly at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital shortly after being admitted from home. Raised in Wakefield and a graduate of Wakefield High School, James received a degree in engineering from Wentworth Institute. Owner of Santoro's of Peabody, the families store celebrated it's 50th year in business in March of this year. Jim will always be remembered for his love of life, sense of humor, work ethic, determination, generosity and adventure.
