Clifford White, 55, of Ocilla died Saturday, June 5 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Riverbend Baptist Church, Irwin County, with Rev. Nathan Stone officiating. Kenny Steverson will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Riverbend Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Monday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. White was born July 13, 1954 in Ocilla, Georgia to Joyce Gunter White Teems and the late Charles White. He attended Fitzgerald High School and was a 1989 honor graduate of the Alliance Tractor-Trailer Academy in McDonough. Mr. White was a farmer in Irwin County for many years before becoming a truck driver for D & F Grain. He was a member of Riverbend Baptist Church.
Mr. White is survived by his wife: Frances White of Ocilla; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: Joshua Adam (Amber) White and Jonah Alexander White, all of Ocilla; grandson: Jace Adrid White of Ocilla; mother and step-father: Joyce White (Arnold) Teems of Summerville; siblings and their spouses: Lucy (Dave) Griffin of Byron, John Raymond (Theresa) White, Herman Junior (Tina) White, and James Randall (Judy) White, all of Fitzgerald, and Frances (David) Brown of Summerville. Many nieces and nephews also survive including: Dianna Newell, Michelle Brown, Chuckie White, C.J. White, Becky Baldree, J.P. Griffin, Barry Hogan, Shana Steverson, Joanna Steverson, Brian Steverson, Bonnie Pittman, Jasmine White, Julie Griffin, Sandra Griffin, Andy Griffin, Cindy Swearingen, DeeDee Claxton, Derinda Lohman, Dana McKinney, Donna Powell, and Kenny Wayne Bass and two great-nieces: Allie Newell and Ella Claire Pittman.
