James Lamar “Jamie” Stone, Jr., 31, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Ruffin and the Rev. Terry Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Jamie was born August 22, 1978 in Marietta, Georgia to James Lamar and Kathryn Finley Stone. He lived in Fitzgerald all of his life. Jamie attended Lovejoy Middle School in Lovejoy, Georgia and graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 2000. He attended Faith Bible Church and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Jamie is survived by his parents, J. Lamar & Kathy Stone and a brother, Jeremy Stone, all of Fitzgerald; aunts and uncles, Henry & Judy Stone of Fitzgerald and Doris Finley of Mt. Pleasant, SC, as well as, several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W.H. and Kathryn Finley and Delos & Alice Stone.
