Obituary

Joseph Francois Edmond Charest loving husband and father passed on Monday morning March 31st.

He was born on February 3rd 1921 to the late Lynda Michaud and George Luke Charest. Joseph (aka Eddie) had two brothers George and Wilfred two sisters Rita and Claire.

A World War II veteran, he enlisted in the army in January of 1942 serving in East India the Philippines and Australia.

Upon returning from the service Eddie was employed by Russell Wood Heel Co in Haverhill MA, the Arlington Mills in Lawrence MA, and Retired in from the Defense Supply Agency in Boston in 1983.

The ever jovial, Eddie loved spending time with his proudest accomplishments, his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Evelyn D (Bergeron) Charest his Daughter, three sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nephews.

Daughter Virginia and her husband Paul DePetrillo of Methuen, son Edward and his wife Maria of Ellicott City, Maryland, son Gerald and wife Carol of Methuen, son Patrick Charest and Denise Chevalier of Derry NH. Grandchildren: Paul Robert DePetrillo and fiancée Jody Ronayne, David and Maurisa Charest, Beth and Mike Wallace, Evan, Timothy and Christopher Charest. Great Grandchildren Emily and Jonnie Charest Nephews George, David, John and Bobby Charest, Paul and Richard Bergeron.

He loved family get-togethers and woodworking. All who knew and loved him will miss his kind and generous nature.

Arrangements: Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday April 3rd from 4:00-8:00 PM A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday April 4th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa Church 22 Plymouth Street Methuen at 10:00 AM.
