Obituary

Millbury – Thomas A. Rochon Sr., 77, passed away Friday, February 4 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

He leaves his loving wife of 48 years Joan A. (Abrams) Rochon; two sons, Thomas A. Rochon Jr. and his wife Marie Rochon of Douglas and Robert W. Rochon and his wife Donna Rochon of Millbury; a brother, Alvah Rochon of Lighthouse Point, FL; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Jessica, Hannah and Kyle; several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. He is predeceased by a sister Lillian (Rochon) Hull of Providence, RI and a brother Donald B. Rochon of Cranston, RI. He was born in Providence, RI son of Alfred and Edna (Reynolds) Rochon.

Mr. Rochon owned and operated with his family for 27 years National Restaurant Equipment Co. and was well known and respected in the Food Service Industry. For the last 7 years, he worked for Quality ChairVan Service of Shrewsbury, MA.

Tom was a member of Millbury Federated Church. He was a Past President of Millbury/Oxford Rotary Club, Past President and Life Member of the Harmony Club of Worcester, a Mason and member of the Olive Branch Lodge of Millbury. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and was a private pilot.

The funeral will be on Tuesday, February 8 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com)12 Hammond St. Worcester, with a service at 11 AM in Millbury Federated Church, 20 Main Street. Burial will be in West Sutton Cemetery, Sutton. Calling hours are Monday, February 7 from 5 to 8 PM in the Funeral Home. Members of the Harmony Club will perform a ritual at 7PM during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
