Pamela (Zinno) Desmond, age 59, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, July 21, 2013.
Born in France on December 30, 1953, she was a loving daughter of Constance (Paolantonio) DeHimer of Cranston, RI and the late Anthony Zinno.
Pam grew up in Cranston and was a graduate of Cranston West High School. She furthered her education and was a graduate of Boston College.
A dedicated homemaker to her family, Pam had also been employed as a realtor for the Century 21 Real Estate Co.
A resident of Mansfield for the past 18 years, she had formerly resided in North Attleboro and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Pam’s favorite times were those spent with family and friends. She loved the outdoors, which included gardening and trips to the beaches in South County, RI. Her other interests included cooking and photography. She will always be remembered for her big heart and the ways in which she easily made new friends.
Besides her loving mother, she is survived by her devoted children, Phoenix Desmond and his life partner Sandra of Oregon and Craig Desmond and Lauren Desmond both of New York. She was the cherished grandmother of Tristan and Zuriel Desmond. She was the dear sister of Jane Hudson, Paul Zinno, Anthony Zinno and Laura Lanni all of Rhode Island. She is also survived by her dear companion Jeffrey Danti of Mansfield and her former husband Timothy Desmond of Mansfield.
Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24th at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield, Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
