GOODE, Margaret A. “Peggy” (Doyle), age 88, Sept. 19, 2016 at Victoria Haven Nursing Home in Norwood. Born and raised in West Roxbury, she was the beloved wife of the late John G.P. Goode. Loving mother of William F. Goode and his wife Donna of Tewksbury, Mary E. Goode of Arlington, VA, Margaret A. Auerbach and her husband Steve of Franklin, Theresa M. Orechia and her husband John of Foxboro, Paul J. Goode and his wife Toni of Millis, and the late Dr. John G. Goode. Mother-in-law of Maureen Goode of Gulph Mills, PA. Loving sister of Alice McCormick, Patricia Freeman and the late Frank Doyle, all of West Roxbury. Also survived by 14 grandchildren: Brett and Tara Goode, Colleen and Katie Goode, Kelly, Laura, and Kaitlyn Auerbach, Mary, Kathleen, Meghan, and Sheila Orechia, James, Kerryann, and Erin Goode; 1 great-grandchild, Camryn Rose Caverly, and many nieces and nephews. Peggy graduated from Girls High School in Boston and then worked at the New England Telephone Company until raising her family. She was a devoted Catholic who either attended daily mass or watched the mass on the EWTN Catholic Channel. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Monday, Sept. 26 at 9 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Monastery of St. Clare, 920 Centre St. Jamaica Plain at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment New Calvary Cemetery.
