Richard E. "Earl" Cluff, Jr.
Avid Outdoorsman

TEWKSBURY: Richard E. "Earl" Cluff, Jr. age 56, a lifelong Tewksbury resident, passed away at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill on Saturday, September 28, 2013, following a brief illness.
Born in Lowell on July 6, 1957, he was the son of Janet A. (McCormack) Cluff, who survives him, of Tewksbury and the late Richard E. Cluff, Sr.
Growing up in Tewksbury, Earl attended the former St. William's Parochial School and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1976.
Prior to his illness, Earl worked as a local plumbing contractor.
During the early 1990's, Earl served on the Tewksbury Zoning Board of Appeals.
He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing and scouting and hunting the woods of Deering, NH.
In addition to his mother, Earl is survived by two brothers, Daniel T. Cluff, and his wife Nancy (Tremblay) of Townsend and Neal L. Cluff of Tewksbury; one sister, Andrea J. Ellis of San Bernardino, CA; two nieces, Kerri Taylor and her husband Daniel of Townsend and Abigail Ellis of San Bernardino, CA; three nephews, Scott D. and Daniel T. Cluff, Jr. both of Townsend and Walter Ellis of San Bernardino, CA; numerous aunts and uncles including, Meredith L. Cohen of Tewksbury, Gerald E. McCormack of Tewksbury, and Carolyn McCormack of Lake Placid, FL,; and his close friend and hunting buddy, Michael Gath of Tewksbury.
Earl was predeceased by many aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends will be received Thursday, Oct. 3 from 4-8 p.m.in the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 4, at 10:30 a.m., at St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Please meet at church. At the request of the family kindly Omit Flowers.
