Obituary

Alfred S. Evangelista 83, of Natick, died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

He was the beloved husband of Anna (DiFranco) Evangelista with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Natick and a lifelong resident he was the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Pisano) Evangelista.

Mr. Evangelista enjoyed various professions; including that of restaurant owner, long term employee in the automotive industry and ultimately retiring from the Natick School Department as custodian.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army.

Mr. Evangelista was a longtime member of the Natick Elks, and enjoyed gardening in his spare time.

The most important part of his life was his family, and he has been especially devoted to his wife’s care. His kind and gentle nature captured the hearts of those who knew him.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Paulette Napoli of Natick, Jacqueline Pontremoli and her husband John of Natick.

Two grandchildren Jessica Fitzpatrick and her husband Richard, Julie Pontremoli and several nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Anthony, William Evangelista and Yolanda Giachetti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 23 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common. Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday morning beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service.
