Obituary

Louise F. (Silveira) Bellotti, 94, of Fairhaven died Tuesday August 17, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late John E. Bellotti.

Born in Mattapoisett, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Souza) Silveira, she lived in Mattapoisett and Fairhaven for most of her life.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, where she assisted with the CCD program for many years.

Mrs. Bellotti was formerly employed as the gift shop manager at the New Bedford Whaling Museum until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Senior Citizens. She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School.

Her family wishes to thank the staff at Our Lady's Haven for the wonderful care given to Louise.

Survivors include a son Jack Bellotti and his wife Betsy of San Francisco, CA; a daughter, Bethany E. Perry and her husband Richard of Fairhaven; two grandchildren, Kyle and Sarah Bellotti of Lake Tahoe, NV; two sisters-in-law, Mary Bellotti of New Bedford and Leona Freitas and her husband Manuel of Mattapoisett; her godchild, Marie Crompton of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was sister of the late Marion Pacheco, Philip A. Silveira, and Constance Sylvia.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 :30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett.
