Rose D. (Silva) Linstrom, 83, of Hudson, formerly of Waltham, died Sunday, June 27th at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marlboro. She was the wife of the late Robert T. Linstrom for 48 years until his death in 1999.
Rose was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Matos) Silva. She moved to Waltham in 1955 after her marriage to Robert and raised her family there. Rose and Robert moved back to Hudson in 1995 so they could be closer to family members. She enjoyed collecting coins and was an avid reader in her spare time. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.
She is survived by her three children, Janis Fenton of Manassas, VA, Peter Linstrom and his wife Theresa of Townsend, John Linstrom and his wife Traci of Apple Valley, CA and was predeceased by her son, Robert M. Linstrom in 1969. She is also survived by her two sisters, Rita O’Neil and her husband David of Hudson, Elizabeth Linstrom of Bedford; her brother, Charles Silva and his wife Joanne of Florida; 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late, Margaret Taylor, Mary Green and Manuel, Anthony, Marianno, John and Joseph Silva.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 2nd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. A graveside service in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
