Obituary

WORCESTER: Betty L. (Jackson) Trudell, 75, of Hyannis, formerly of Worcester, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, after an illness. Her husband of 31 years, Joseph F. Trudell, Sr., died March 4, 1992.
She leaves 3 daughters, Debra J. Baril of NH, Norma Lee Brooks and Brenda L. Trudell both of Hyannis; 6 sons, Richard E. Brooks of Hyannis, Edward C. Brooks of Worcester, Joseph F. Trudell, Jr. of Hyannis, Robert A. Trudell of Worcester, David A. Trudell of Worcester, Brian E. Trudell of Whitinsville; 2 sisters, Thelma E. Johnson of North Oxford, Norma L. Dupuis of Hyannis; 2 brothers, James W. Jackson of Florida and Richard H. Jackson of Worcester; 23 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Betty was born in Dudley, daughter of the late Everett T. and Victoria A. (LaSalle) Jackson. Two brothers, Everett T. Jackson, Jr., Charles Jackson, and a sister, Dorothy Booth, all predeceased her. She had been a volunteer worker with the Salvation Army and the Disabled American Veterans. Her family and friends fondly referred to her by the nickname of “Bingo Betty”.
A CALLING HOUR will be held from 6 to 7 P.M. on MONDAY, MARCH 29, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., immediately followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE in the Funeral Home at 7 P.M. After cremation, burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
