Obituary

Laurence P. Harrington Jr., 51 of Norfolk died suddenly March 30, 2008. He was the husband of Amy Joy (Lichter) Harrington.
Born in Arlington, May 6, 1956, the son of the late Laurence P. and Catherine (McDonald) Harrington, Mr. Harrington was raised in Arlington and had lived in Norfolk for the past 12 years.
He was a graduate of Boston College High School, Cornell University and Boston College Law School.
Mr. Harrington was a partner in the law firm of Miller and Harrington L.L.P. of Wellesley.
He had previously worked for the law firm of Holland and Knight in Boston.
Mr. Harrington had been active in Norfolk Town affairs, having served on the Conservation Commission and other community organizations.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Liz and Emily Harrington.
He is also survived by his brothers, John F. Harrington of Madison, Wisconsin, Kevin C. Harrington and Stephen T. Harrington, both of Arlington, James P. Harrington and his sister, Mary C. Negrotti of Natick and his brother, Joseph P. Harrington of Franklin.
He is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 3 in the First Unitarian Universalist Society Church, Chestnut Street in Franklin at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be private. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Boston College High School, 150 Morrissey Blvd., Boston, MA 02125.
