Dear sister of Yvette DeStefano of Wilmington, Evelyn Longo of Chelsea, Joseph Labbe of Winthrop and the late Alice Basile. Also lovingly survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Wednesday morning, September 13th at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 601 Broadway, CHELSEA at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Born in Lawrence, and a member of the Chelsea community since childhood, Jeannette passed away at home early Sunday morning after a long illness at the age of 83.
Devoted to her large family, she still found time to work for 10 years at Sweetheart Paper Co. and an additional 10 years until retirement at Travco Corporation on Eastern Avenue.
