Carol Virginia (Koerner) Brassard, 76, of Anderson died February 27, 2019 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
Carol was born February 10, 1943, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Paul W. and Virginia (Noss) Koerner. She was a graduate of Purdue University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority.
She was an elementary school teacher at Frankton/Lapel Community Schools for 31 years before retiring in 2008.
Carol was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ray Brassard whom she married May 4, 1991 in Fishers; son, Michael (Lilia) Bauner of San Diego, CA; daughter, Deanna (Brian) Cobb of Pendleton; grandchildren, Glenn (Mayra) Ramirez, Trevor and Mitchell Cobb; several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Donna Koerner.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Father Daniel Shine officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, from 2-6 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Anderson Christian Center.
