Norine E. Bale
1/24/2019

Norine Bale, (98) the Grand Lady of the Bale family of Highland High School has succumbed to nature to join loved ones on the other side. Let it be known, we her children and spouses adored her. She will be a legend to her 22 great grandchildren, is admired by her 10 grandchildren, richly loved by her 6 children and two husbands, and a kind and witty spirit to all who met her.
A native of Anderson, Norine Hauck graduated from Anderson High School (1938), then supported World War II by helping issue rationing coupons for food, fuel and supplies for the U.S. Office of Price Administration, was the cover model for the December 1945 issue of “The Guide” before marrying air force pilot, Soapy Bale.
Norine survived polio, then cancer to live a full and active life of work and play: she managed a farm, managed the aquatics programs at the YWCA, worked at Anderson Banking Company, retired from Canteen Corporation then moved to Florida where she was a sought after Golf and Bridge partner, becoming a club champion golfer with five hole-in-one(s) in three decades of play, now she rests.
By her request there will be a family gathering in her memory at a later date.
