Betty Ruth Byford Obituary - Water Valley MS

Betty Ruth Byford, age 82, of Coffeeville, MS died peacefully Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born April 30, 1936 in Coffeeville, MS to the late Benford and Helon Waddell and worked as a quality control technician for Holley Carburetor and Borg Warner. She enjoyed working in the yard and her flower garden. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed a special relationship with her dogs, T‘man and Birdie.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Coffeeville United Methodist Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Stacy Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Harbour Cemetery with Greg Rotenberry, Jeremy Hill, Blake Richardson, Drew Richardson, Joshua Byford and Taylor Byford serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Byford and Ray Wolfe.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Rita Lancaster (David) of Water Valley, MS and Ravonda Richardson (Tracy) of Henderson NV; one brother, Gary Waddell (Jacque) of Princeton, TX.; as well as 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles Ray Byford; one son, Donald Byford; one grandson, David Zan Lancaster; one brother, Jimmy Dean Waddell; and one sister, Bennie Mae Rotenberry.
