Martha Davis, age 96, of Water Valley, MS died peacefully Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Yalobusha County Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. She was born February 17, 1922 in Water Valley to the late Robert and Edith Alexander. Martha was a homemaker, and dedicated a great deal of time serving the Presbyterian Church in Water Valley. She was a member of Women In the Church (WIC) where served as secretary and treasurer as well as being the chairman of World Missions and a Sunday School teacher for the womens class.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. Martha is survived by one daughter, Elsie Massey of West Point, MS; one son, Robert Davis of Coppers Cove, TX; one sister, Wilma Warren of Jackson, TN; as well as 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Willie Davis; one son Thomas Davis; and two sisters, Naomi Alexander and Mozella Perkins. | ||||
