Gale Craig 90 of Anderson, passed away November 3, 2018.
Gale had a 33 year career at General Motors where he was credited with 21 patents. He earned bachelor and masters degrees from BSU.
He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Okinawa where he met his wife Kiku.
Gale taught Math and Physics for a brief period at IUPUI.
He had a love of flying and owned a Cessna 182 that flew he and his wife Kiku to cities all over the U.S. He shared his passion for flight by flying more than 100 Young Eagles which introduced many to their first flight experience.
He acted according to his unique ideals which were often outside the norm. His background in physics allowed him to challenge the standard teaching of aerodynamics and published a book with his findings.
He was a regular donor to many philanthropic causes that he believed improved the state of the world and was a member of EAA 226 and Cessna 170 Association.
He leaves behind his wife Kiku of nearly 70 years, children June (Clifford) Davenport; Kenny (Theresa) Craig; Betty (Mike) Phillips; Judy (Dennis) Merritt; Susan (Tom) Niccum; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family extends special thanks to Mickey and the staff at Lindberg Crossing.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Martha Green officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
