Edith A. Malatesta passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018. She was 104 years old.
Edith was a resident of Nahant for the past 20 years and formerly a longtime resident of Malden. She worked as a supervisor for many years at State Street Bank and her favorite past times were cooking, gardening and shopping for her family.
Edith was the daughter of the late Antonio and Gioina (DiSario) Malatesta. She was the dear sister of Janet Malatesta of Nahant, Lawrence Malatesta and his wife Patricia of Wakefield and the late Peter and Frederick Malatesta. Edith was the loving aunt of Richard and Karen Malatesta, who cared for her for years, and Laureen Berkowitz, Marc, Stephen, and David Malatesta. She is also survived by 10 great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday November 3rd from 9:00-11:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
