Fiore A. Masse of Malden passed away on October 29, 2018. He was 93 years old.
Fiore was born in East Boston and raised in the North End of Boston. He was a United States Army Veteran during WWII, Purple Heart Recipient. Fiore taught school in the Malden Public School system for many years at the Beebe Junior High School and was the past owner and operator of the Eagle House Motel in Rockport, MA. He was also an avid painter and gardener.
Fiore was the beloved husband of 68 years to Assunta “Susan” (Baldassarre) Masse. He was the loving father of Robert J. Masse, Stephen V. Masse and his partner Andrea Laws, Paul F. Masse and his wife Marcia, Mary G. Fowler and her husband John, and John C. Masse and his wife Kathleen. Fiore was the dear brother of Henry Masse, Helen Vozzella, Mary Masse, and the late Anna Leo and Vincent Masse. He was the cherished grandfather of Paul Vasta and his wife Ashley, Carla Fowler, Peter Vasta, and Cole and Poiret Masse and great grandfather of Raymond and Sophia Vasta. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday November 5th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church (Lower Level), 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6pm. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
