Brenda Sue Ross Pinkerton, 64, passed away October 6, 2018 in Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. She was born December 14, 1953 in Water Valley, Mississippi to the Late Delbert Ross and Catherine Black Ross. Brenda loved reading and fishing, but nothing compared to her family. She loved her children to no end but loved her grandchildren more. Her career took her to the highest level of the motel industry, where she was named Woman Pioneer of the Year. During this time, she was working near the Pentagon during the attack on 9/11. Her health began to fail later in life which led to her residence in the Water Valley Nursing Home for 2 and a half years. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 9, from 1 PM - 3 PM. in the Appleton room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Service will follow in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Gerald Shook officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Liberty Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Gary Pinkerton of Water Valley; a son, Michael Caldwell of Tupelo, MS; a daughter, Pricilla Dingler (Donnie) from Amory, MS; 5 grandchildren; two brothers, Rufus D. Ross (Frances) of Oxford, MS and Steve M. Ross of Water Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Catherine Ross, and one sister, Phyllis Baker. | ||||
