NATICK: Ilga Freidenfelds, 75, died on October 2, 2018 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick.
She was born in Latvia on December 31, 1942 the daughter of the late Albert Freidenfelds and Anna (Braske) Freidenfelds.
Ilga is survived by her cousins Aivars Freidenfelds and Lauris Freidenfelds both of Chicago, IL and her longtime friend Diane Brine of Groton. She was the godmother of Thalia Charles of Harvard and Daphne Brine of Northhampton. Ilga also leaves many other family and close friends.
She came to the United States from Latvia as a young girl with her parents. She has resided in Natick for the past 55 years. She received an Associates Degree from Eastern Nazarene College. For over 25 years she was associated with TJX Corporation in Natick as a Purchasing Agent before retiring.
Ilga has been a longtime and active member of the First Baptist Church in Sudbury and participated in the many activities of the church community. She loved animals and time spent in her vegetable garden where she took great pride in nurturing and cultivating her plants. She was an avid skier and tennis player.
She will be remembered fondly and loved by all who had the opportunity to know her.
A memorial Service celebrating Ilga’s life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Sudbury, 162 Landam Road, Sudbury.
