WAYLAND: Natalie L. (Hall) Thompson, 90, died peacefully surrounded by her family on September 8, 2018 following a brief illness.
She was born in Newton on October 28, 1927 the daughter of the late Dr. Stanley E. Hall and Edna S. (Patton) Hall. Natalie was the wife of the late Dr. L. Bradford Thompson who died on February 12, 2004.
She is survived by her children Wendy A. McDermott and her husband Richard McDermott; Lynne A. Duguay and her husband Dennis Duguay; Leslie E. Colantuono and her late husband Russell Colantuono; Natalie L. Schmit and her husband Kevin Schmit; George E. Olson III; her step-children Peter Thompson and his wife Mary Thompson; Christopher Thompson and his wife Dorothy Thompson; Pamela Felker and her late husband Norman Felker and Jeffrey Thompson and his wife Stephanie Thompson. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is the sister of David S. Hall and the late Edward M. Hall.
Natalie spent her formative years in Wellesley and graduated from Wellesley High School with the Class of 1946. She attended LaSalle Junior College in Newton.
Natalie raised her children in Wayland where she resided for over 35 years and resided in Marlborough for a few years before returning to Wayland. She was devoted to her family who was the center of her life and in her earlier years was a Girl Scout troop leader for her daughters.
She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Wayland and was active in the Outreach Committee and with Community United Women. Natalie was also a member of the Natick Women's Club, General Federation Club and the Framingham General Federation Women's Club. She worked for many years at the President's House at Wellesley College.
A Memorial Service celebrating Natalie's life will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church, 5 Damon Street (corner of Rte. 27 and Damon St.) Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Hall Family lot in Linwood Cemetery in Weston.
In lieu of flowers, her family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in her memory may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
