Dorothy Louise (Denson) Vaughn, 86, of Chesterfield, died September 16, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield after an extended illness.
Dorothy was born August 6, 1932 in Hendersonville, Tennessee, the daughter of Eddie and Bertha (Adams) Denson. She worked 20 years at Marsh Supermarket in the deli as a prep-person. She attended Madison Park Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John L. Vaughn of Yorktown, whom she married December 22, 1951 in Franklin, Kentucky; three children, Barbara (Leslie) Souders of Pendleton; Sandra (Timothy) Hall of Anderson and Gary (Debra) Vaughn of Yorktown; four brothers; James (Margie) Denson; Bob (Janice) Denson; Morris (Ann) Denson; Ernest (Vicki) Denson; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Charles Denson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Chesterfield Miller's Merry Manor for their loving care.
Services will be on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 12 Noon at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Tom Castor officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Madison Park Church of God and the Care Ministry of South Meridian Church of God.
