John Myron Wilson
9/9/2018

John Myron "Buddy" Wilson went to be with the Savior, whom he loved so completely, on September 9, 2018.

Buddy was born October 31, 1951, to Joseph Wayne and Dorothy Wilson at their home near Spencer, Indiana. They later moved to Anderson. The family lovingly cared for him in their home until his father passed (July 2010) and his mother was no longer able to care for him (January 2011) . He then moved with grace and courage into the home of his older sister, Joyce and her husband, Joe Ellingwood. He enriched and blessed the lives of all who knew him with his deep spiritual faith and his very witty sense of humor.

Buddy was an original member of the founding of the Peter Pan School and Richter Workshop, which has evolved over the years to what, is now the Hopewell Center. He enjoyed life to the fullest and one of his special joys was attending church. He was a current member of Faith Assembly of God and a former member of New Life Nazarene Church in Anderson and the First Church of the Nazarene in Spencer. Buddy enjoyed shooting baskets and riding his bike. He loved bowling and bowled weekly with very special friends, Chet and "Aunt" Marcia Mullins.

Buddy was preceded in death by his mother in December of 2017 and his father in 2010. He is survived by his sisters, Joyce (Joe) Ellingwood of Anderson; Norma Jean (Doug) Trennepohl of Wheatland, Wyoming and brother, James Barry (Elica) Wilson of Bourbonnais, Illinois. He also leaves to cherish his memory several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Special mention goes to niece, Kim Ellingwood Bailey, who frequently helped in the care of Buddy. Her knowledge of herbs helped to add years to his life and life to his last few years.

Other very special friends who Buddy would want to acknowledge are Ron and Carmen Shrope, LuAnn Frye and Gloria Townsend of Spencer, Indiana.

Our thanks to Seasons Hospice and all of those who have taken such special care and interest in Buddy as we have walked this journey.

While Buddy will be greatly missed and we mourn his passing, we are blessed to recognize that for the first time in his 66 years, he enjoys a perfect mind and body. We will remember him with love and laughter.

Funeral arrangements are Saturday, September 15, 2018 at noon at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 South Rangeline Road, Anderson. Buddy's siblings assisted by Pastor Walt Weaver and Pastor Carl Lamb will officiate the service.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Donations in Buddy's honor may be made to Hopewell Center, Inc., 5325 South Main Street, Anderson, IN 46013.

Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
