Maxine (Stottlemyer) Lewis, 87, of Alexandria, died September 2, 2018 in Alexandria after an extended illness.
She was born May 28, 1931, in Madison County, the daughter of Ira and Maggie (Harless) Stottlemyer.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1949.
Maxine was a homemaker and a member of Vermillion Christian Church.
She is survived by her son, Jerry E. (Colleen) Lewis of Arizona and daughter-in-law, Tammy Lewis of Alexandria; four grandchildren, Donnie (Kim) Lewis; Ashlee (Tim) Snead, Stephanie (James) Lewis and Stacy Lewis; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry E. "Gene" Lewis; two sons, Donald Lewis and Charles Lewis; three sisters, two brothers and a great grandson, Eli Lewis.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastors Keith Kramer and Paul Werling officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Vermillion Christian Church.
Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
