William Cooper Lipscomb Obituary - Water Valley MS

William Cooper Lipscomb of Water Valley, age 85, died August 24, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born June 6, 1933 to the late Corrie Mae Pass and Clifton Lipscomb in Water Valley, MS and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Years later, he re-enlisted and served during the Vietnam War. He was employed for many years as an inspector with Coors Canning in Golden, CO. William enjoyed watching Western movies and was a fan of the Denver Broncos. He especially enjoyed spending time with Tommy and with his grandchildren. William was a Mason and a member of First Baptist Church.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later time.

He is survived by four daughters, Barbara (Ron) Durdin of Water Valley, MS, Donna (Brian) Lund of Denver, CO, Zandra Goolsby of Byhalia, MS, and Cynthia Lipscomb of Water Valley; two sons, James (Sue) Lipscomb of Orlando, FL and Thomas Lipscomb of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Nanette Ware and Ann Sitter; ten grandchildren and nineteen grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Lipscomb; a son, Thomas Bueno; two brothers, James Lipscomb and Allen Lipscomb; and a grandson, John William Miles.
