FRAMINGHAM: William C. Ball, 81, died peacefully Saturday August 18, 2018 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Waltham on March 30, 1937 the son of the late Charles Ball and Lillian (Gardner) Ball.
William was the father of Nick Ball and his wife Susan Ball of Ashland and Spencer J. Ball and his wife Laura C. Ball of Wayland. Grandfather of Ian and Connor Ball of Wayland and Noah and Ryan Ball of Ashland. Brother of Robert Ball and his wife Paula of Hudson. Also survived by one niece and one nephew.
William spent his formative years in Waltham and was a graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1954. He had a long career as a Horticulturist with Garden City Tree Service. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including skeet shooting, hiking and was an accomplished fisherman.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte. 30), Wayland.
His funeral services will be private for his family.
In lieu of flowers, his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in William’s memory be sent to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO BOX 849168, Boston, Mass 02284-9168.
