William Hervey "Sonny" Cook, Jr. Obituary - Water Valley MS

Mr. William Hervey "Sonny" Cook, Jr. died July 5, 2018 at Yalobusha County Hospital. Born in Water Valley, MS May 17, 1934 to the late William Hervey Cook, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Bell Cook, he graduated from the University of MS with a degree in business administration. He spent two years serving in the US Army. Sonny worked for the State of Mississippi as an auditor and enjoyed fixing things and helping his neighbors. He enjoyed walking, reading at least two daily newspapers and working the crossword puzzles. In addition, Sonny operated the Valley Theater and was an avid fan of old movies.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. David Floyd officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Hallie Gail Williams Cook of Water Valley, MS; a son, William Michael Cook of Oxford, MS; and two sisters, Mae Bell Fly (David) of Senatobia, MS and Elizabeth Anne DeCoux (George) of Gulfport, MS.
