Angelina (Parente) Ciampa, of Medford, passed away on Saturday, May 12th at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 100.

Born in Montefusco, Avellino, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Domenico Parente and Rosa DiPietro. Angelina worked as a candy maker with the Schraffts Candy Company for many years until her retirement.

In her spare time, Angelina enjoyed being outdoors, working in her garden and jarring tomatoes. She had the best garden around and everyone knew it. Angelina was always an independent person, strong willed and caring. She loved her family more than anything and liked being able to help people when she could. Angelina was a woman of faith and always tried to live her life with the Christian virtues of faith, hope and charity. She also had a special devotion to Saint Anthony. Her kindness and love will be missed by all the lives she touched.

Angelina was the beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Ciampa, who passed away in 1988. Together the two shared many loving years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Rose Fratarcangeli and her husband Emilio of Stoneham, Josephine Salamanca and her husband John of Danvers, the late Sandra Ciampa, who passed away in 1964 and the late Domenic Ciampa, who passed away in 1945. Angelina was the loving grandmother of Michael Fratarcangeli and his wife Jennifer of California, Julie Fratarcangeli and her husband Mark Petree of Melrose, Sandra and Gina Salamanca, both of Danvers. She was the loving great grandmother of Daniel, Luke, Olivia, Emilie, Stella and Sloane, and the dear sister of Maria Parente of Italy. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Wednesday, May 16th from 9-11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
