Jeannette M. (Pelletier) Plourde, 99, a former resident of Salem, passed away on February 24, 2018 at the Florida Hospital Flagler Hospice following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Leo A. Plourde.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Francois X. and Marie L. (Tardiff) Pelletier. Jeannette was employed for over 43 years by GTE Sylvania at the Loring Avenue plant. She retired in 1981 as a product inspector in quality control. Married to Leo in 1947, she was always remained devoted to her large extended family. She was a resident of Salem and member of the former St. Joseph Parish for most of her life. Several years ago she moved to Palm Coast with her niece Lorraine and her husband Bill Stone.
Jeannette is survived by many nieces and nephews including Lorraine M. Gagne with whom she lived, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her sisters; Delia Brochu, Florence Pelletier, Emma Latusky, Simone Fiske, Edna Pelletier Rita Gagne and Lucille Miaskiewicz and brothers, Joseph, Arthur, Adelard ’Eddie’, Armand, Albert and Roland Pelletier as well as her dear friend Ruth Gould.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Saturday, May 19th from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, to be followed by her memorial mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 11:00 AM.
