Mr. Edward A. Giglio, a longtime Woburn resident passed away peacefully May 12, 2018, at the Winchester Hospital following a short illness. He was 80 years of age. Edward was the beloved husband of the late Grayce C. (Edwards) Giglio. Born in Cambridge he was the son of the late Leo J. and Angie A. (Caprigno) Giglio.

Ed was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of the Christopher Columbus High School and Boston University. He worked for nearly forty years as an executive with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company retiring as Sr. Vice President. He was an avid golfer and was passionate about Boston sports teams. However, his greatest joy was his family. Nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by his children, grandchildren and close friends.
In addition to his late wife and parents, Ed is predeceased by his brother, the late Rev. Roger Giglio.

Ed is survived by his devoted children, Gregory Giglio and his wife Gail of No. Reading, Paul Giglio and his wife Susan of Cohasset, Diane West and her husband Chris of Woburn. He was the loving grandfather of Matthew and Jessica Giglio, Jenna, JP and Michael Giglio, Christopher, Allison and Lauren West.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, Thursday, May 17th, at 10 a.m.

Visiting hours will be held at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment services will be private. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ed's memory to the Grayce Giglio Scholarship Fund c/o Our Lady of the Assumption School, 40 Grove St., Lynnfield, MA 01940.
