WESTON: Jan Palmer Sherman, 87, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 3, 2018.

Born in Orlando, Florida on December 19, 1930 the daughter of the late Sanford D. Palmer and Helma Henderson Palmer, Jan is survived by her loving and devoted children: Richard L. Sherman, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Nashua, NH; Stephen B. Sherman and his wife Tyla of Unity, NH; Kevin P. Sherman and his wife Valerie of Framingham; Anita Sherman of Framingham; Beth Sherman of Concord and the late Daniel C. Sherman. Jan was the former wife of the late Richard L. Sherman, Sr. Also survived by 7 grandchildren; Christopher, Nikki, Holly, Ben, Amanda, Sam and Will; and 5 great-grandchildren; Emma, Joshua, Lilja, Hailey and Willow, and many nieces and nephews.

A life-long resident of Weston, Jan graduated Weston High Class of ‘48. After furthering her education at LaSalle Junior College, she went to work for the Weston Public Schools as lunch mother and teacher’s aide, before starting her long, rewarding career as a school bus driver. She is fondly remembered by Weston families for the love and care she provided their children. Jan enjoyed bird watching, the Sunday crossword puzzle, walking her dogs and was a devoted Red Sox fan.

Memorial Visitations will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte. 30), Wayland. Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of life reception beginning at 6 p.m. at the VFW Post 1274 in Natick, MA.

Private family interment will be held at Linwood Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Jan’s memory may be sent to the Mass Audubon Society.
