William A. Anderson

William A. Anderson, of Medford, died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family. May 2nd. He was 92. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Thomas and Sarah (Reid) Anderson.

William had an extensive military career. He sailed all over the world on vast Navy ships as a Jet Mechanic working on fighter jets. After his enlistment with the Navy was over William opted to reenlist into the Air Force and would later be trained down in Huntsville, Alabama as a Rocket Engineer. William as well as his loving wife Margaret and his son Billy traveled to many places including California, Texas, Florida and Turkey where William would take part in the Jupiter Missile program, helping to end the Cuban Missile crisis.

William enjoyed the outdoors he loved to go hunting and fishing. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved everything that had to do with the New England Patriot's.

William was the beloved husband of Margaret (Mannino) Anderson, for 69 years. He was the devoted father of William A. Anderson Jr. and his wife Cindy of Everett. Loving grandfather of Nicole Anderson. Loving great-grandfather of Avery Rose Bussell.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, May 9th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Late Navy and Air Force Veteran.
