Bernard J. Doherty, age 81 of Milton, formerly of Dorchester passed away March 24th at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born and raised in Dorchester, he graduated from Dorchester High School and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He worked as an Accountant for W.R. Grace Co. for many years before retiring. He was a longtime active parishioner of St. Mark’s Church in Dorchester and an avid boater and member of the Savin Hill Yacht Club. Beloved brother of Winifred M. Doherty of Milton, Kathryn P. Ford of Scituate and the late Elizabeth A. Storms. Beloved son of the late Edward and Catherine (McLaughlin) Doherty. Uncle of Donna Ford, A.J. Ford, Peggy Cox, Jenny Gerbis, Molly Ford, Brenda Ford, Peter Storms, Winnie Storms and Carrie Storms. Also survived by several grand nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Tuesday 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Church, 101 Wolcott Rd Milton Wednesday morning at 10 am. Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury.
