Anne Buckhout Chase
3/19/2018

WAYLAND: Anne Buckhout Chase of Wayland went peacefully ahead on March 19, 2018, her loving family by her side, to join her beloved late husband, of 56 years, Jerome K. “Jerry” Chase.
Anne was born on May 3, 1933 to the late F. Clay Buckhout and Martha (Morgan) Buckhout. Her sister Connie Buckhout Poillon predeceased her.
Anne grew up in Greenwich, CT, and has been a resident of Wayland for more than 40 years, where she was a faithful communicant at The Good Shepherd Parish. Always adventurous, Anne appeared (with Jerry) as the first woman in a print advertisement for Puerto Rican Rum in the 1960’s, had a successful career as a real estate broker, and enjoyed sharing her keen eye for interior design.
Anne reveled in the chaos naturally occurring as the mother of six, and maintained her irrepressible wit and wisdom to the end. She loved nothing greater than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren, and the knowledge that they had all found their own paths in the world. She loved her children, and they loved her. Her children are a reflection of Anne and Jerry’s measured confidence, deep faith and a sense of humor.
She is survived by her son Jerry Chase and his wife Laurence of Essex, and their two children, Jake and Helen; her daughter Nan Alphen and her husband Paul of Westford, and their children, Christopher and Paul and his wife Carolyn, and the late Jack; her son Clay Chase and his wife Karen of Framingham, and their two children Jennifer and Michael and his wife Allisyn, and Anne’s first great grandchild, Kelsea; her son John Chase and his wife Louise of Leawood, KS and their children, Ellie, John Jr., Captain Jerry III (US Army) and his wife Meaghan; her son Bill Chase of Framingham; and her daughter, Wini Fuller and her husband Brinsley of Framingham and their children, Elizabeth and William.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte. 30), Wayland.
Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 124 Cochituate Road, Wayland.
