Susan Marie (Reynolds) Morrison, of Stoneham, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 17th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was 56.

Born in Lowell, she was raised in Shrewsbury and graduated from Shrewsbury High School with the Class of 1979. Susan continued her education at Merrimack College and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting with the Class of 1983. Susan worked for most of her career as an accountant with Tufts University.

Susan was an upbeat person, always fun to be with and loved to laugh. Her family gave her the honorary title of ‘Champion Giggler’. Her love of laughter was paired with joking around with her daughters and closest friends.

In her spare time, Susan enjoyed making fleece blankets for her family and friends. She loved cooking and taking chances on trying to make new dishes. If Susan was home and the television were on, the station was always on the Food Network. She loved to host parties and holidays and spending time with her family. When she was younger, Susan enjoyed playing tennis as well.

In the summer months, Susan loved spending time at the beach. Her favorite part about being at the water was soaking up the sun and collecting sea glass.

One of Susan’s favorite things to do was to go out shopping. Her favorite stores were T.J. Max and Home Goods. Some of her daughter’s favorite memories are from shopping with Susan, laughing and enjoying the time they were having with their mother. Susan also loved going to Friday night dinner at the Somerville 99 Restaurant with her husband, Jim. She and Jim both loved the time they spent with each other.

Susan was the beloved wife of James “Jim” Morrison. The two were married on September 11, 1993 at St. Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury. Together the two have shared 24 loving years of marriage and friendship. She was the devoted mother of Katherine Morrison of Leominster and Meghan Morrison of Stoneham. Susan was the cherished daughter of Helen F. (Connor) Reynolds of Shrewsbury, and the late James B. Reynolds. She was the dear sister of Judith A. Best of Holden, and the late James B. Reynolds Jr. Susan is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Wednesday, March 21st at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM.
