Maria Crognale passed away peacefully at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Thursday. She was 86. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Crescenzo and Filomena (Centofanti) Crognale. Maria lived much of her life in East Boston until living recently in Medford and was devoted to her family, especially her sisters, brother, nieces and nephews.

She was the beloved sister of Linda Iudiciani of Boston’s North End, Gilda DiRamio of Medford, Rose Crognale of Everett and the late Giulio Crognale, formerly of Itlay. Maria is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, March 10th from 9:30 to 11 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
