William J. "Billy" Morris, III

COCHITUATE: William J. “Billy” Morris, III, 73, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2018 after battling Alzheimer’s Disease and cancer.
He was born in Framingham on August 20, 1944 the son of the late William J. Morris, Jr. and Florence V. (McMillen) Morris Casler.
Billy is survived by his sister-in-law Evelyn L. “Jeep” (Archer) Morris of Framingham formerly of Cochituate and Osterville. Uncle of Janet Holland and her husband Andrew Holland of Framingham, Linda Averill and her husband Robert A. Averill, Jr of Framingham, Lori Fischelis and her husband Peter Fischelis of Concord, Lisa Sarmento and her husband Stephen Sarmento of Malvern, PA, and Kim Wiles and her husband Dennis Wiles of Wayland. He was the brother of the late June M. Anger and Richard R. “Dick” Morris. Also survived by several great- nieces and great-nephews.
Billy has been a life-long resident of Cochituate and graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 1963.
Billy was a massage therapist and was the owner of Muscular Therapy Associates with a focus on professional athletes. For 27 years, he led a team of therapists working on the 50 elite runners participating in the Boston Marathon. In his off hours, he will be long remembered as a 27 year member and drummer of Boston’s Oldies Band, “JD, Billy and Ken”.
At the request of his family there will be no funeral home visitations. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ted Crass at the Morris family lot in Lakeview Cemetery, 80 Commonwealth Road (Rte. 30) Wayland.
In lieu of flower gifts in Billy’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimers Assoc. of MA/NH, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Watertown, MA 02452 and would be appreciated.
