NATICK: Theresa C. “Terry” (Eccles) Picard, 85, died peacefully with her daughter Pam at her side on Thursday, March 1, 2018 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine on December 27, 1932 the daughter of the late Laurent and Bertha (Giroux) Eccles.
Terry was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred J. “Fred” Picard, Jr. who died on December 24, 1991.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Pamela R. “Pam” Burke and her husband Ronald A Burke of Natick. Cherished Grandmother of Kelsey, Travis, Connor, Shane, Hunter and Sasha Burke all of Natick. Sister of Ronald Eccles and his wife Rita Eccles of Augusta, Maine and Claire Charbonneau and her husband Arthur Charbonneau of Melbourne, Florida. Also several nieces and nephews.
Terry spent her formative years in Lewiston, Maine and graduated from Lewiston High School. She has been a resident of Natick for over 50 years and spent several years residing in Boston. She began her career as a Medical Transcriber for the Overholt Clinic. She retired after ten years of dedicated service as an Administrative Assistant in the Wellesley School System at the Wellesley Middle School.
Terry was devoted to her Catholic faith and served as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the knitting group and Saint Zepherin Womens Club as well as volunteering for the church fair. She loved to knit and travel. Her devotion was to her daughter and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and their many events.
She will be fondly remembered and loved by all who had the opportunity to know her and be her friend.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte. 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Family and friends are requested to go directly to Good Shepherd Parish at Saint Zepherin Church, 99 Main St (Rte. 27), Cochituate Village, Wayland on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 11:00 am for her Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will be held for her family in the Picard family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Laconia, New Hampshire.
