Mariwanda (Stinson) Forkner, 93, of Anderson died March 4, 2018 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born February 25, 1925 in Anderson, the daughter of Jesse L. and Cora (Johnson) Stinson.
She was a homemaker and manager of Spiegel's Department Store.
She was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church where she was a kindergarten school teacher.
Mariwanda is survived by her four children, Judy (John) Skafish of Ogden Dunes, IN; Tom (Debbie) Forkner of Noblesville, Nancy (Forkner) Delph of Fishers and Tim Forkner of Ocilla, GA; brother, Robert Stinson of Lafayette; sister, Betty Beeson of St. Augustine, FL; sister-in-law, Katherine Cookman; grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer) Skafish; Andrea (Cory) Beder; Adam Forkner and Allison Forkner, step granddaughter, Laura (Steve) Burgess and step grandson, Thomas Burgess; three great grandchildren, Ione and Fiona Skafish and Matilda Beder; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David R. Forkner; her brother, Don Stinson and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Stinson and Geneva Stinson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
