Norma E. Nardone

Norma E. Nardone, a longtime resident of Woburn passed away peacefully February 25, 2018, at the Baker Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill, following a short illness. She was 86 years of age. Norma was the beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Nardone. Born in Wakefield she was one of five children of the late Harold and Louise (Muse) Anderson.

Norma was raised in Wakefield and eventually settled in Woburn where together with her husband Anthony they would raise their eight children. Norma's main focus in life was her family, nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by those she loved. She enjoyed vacationing and traveling with family to many different destination, with Disney World being one of her favorite spots. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren during the holidays and any special family event, especially family cook outs. Norma's family was the center of her life. In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting, watching classic movies and was an avid reader. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and those who knew her. Norma’s children would also like to acknowledge the tremendous care that she received from all the nurses and staff at the Baker Katz Nursing Facility in Haverhill.

Norma is survived by her loving children; Anthony Nardone and his late wife Patty of Freemont, NH, Norma Nardone and her husband Joseph Rafferty of Kennebunk, ME, Diane Nardone-McDonough and her husband Robert of Kittery, ME, Debora Lucas of Easton, Vanessa Hitchins and her husband Dick of Pembroke, Andrea Gillis and her husband Joseph of Wilmington, Terri Day and her husband Brian of Hampstead, NH, David Nardone and his wife Rebecca of Woburn. She is also survived by 21 loving grandchildren and 6 loving great grandchildren. She was the sister of Louise Brandon of Oakham and her late husband Gill Boucher, the late Robert Anderson, Barbara Edgington and Ruth D'Agostino. Further survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Friday, March 2nd, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Norma's memory to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
