Janet Lee Ford Brewer Pipkin Obituary - Water Valley MS

Janet Lee Ford Brewer Pipkin, age 65, passed away February 21, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN. She was born January 23, 1953, to Leo Wesley Ford and Irene Elizabeth Vanoy Ford in Stillwater, OK. Janet was an enthusiastic school teacher for many years. In addition to inspiring her students to continue their education, she was also an avid student acquiring her Master's Degree in Education. Upon retirement, many hours were spent making baby blankets and “playing in the dirt with her flowers”. Friends and family also benefited from her homemade soap business which she began many years ago. Her family was the joy of her life, especially her children and grandchildren. Her friends were many and Janet will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 23, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at Coffeeville United Methodist Church in Coffeeville, MS on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Dividing Ridge Cemetery in Yalobusha County with “The Boys” serving as pallbearers.

Janet is survived by her husband, Edward Pipkin of Coffeeville, MS; daughter, Kellie Burns Rogers of Matthews, MO; nine sons, Jason Wesley Wells of Memphis, TN, Erik Benson Brewer of California, Maryland, Justin Ford Brewer and Evan Bradlee Brewer, both of Mobile, AL, William Jarrod Corlew of Senatobia, MS, Jacob Lloyd Pryor of Water Valley, MS, Jeremy Shawn Burney of Shreveport, LA, Eddie L. Pipkin of Winona, MS, and Thomas Joshua Pipkin of Batesville, MS; one brother, Kenny Ford of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Carolyn Gallagher of Versailles, KY, and Brenda Hyden of Franklin, TN; and fourteen grandchildren, Abigail, Elizabeth, Emmanuel, Clara, Kayla, Bo, Nick, Jackson, Brittany, Zoey, Isaac, Jordan, Eden, and Jacob.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded by her first husband of 33 years, Melvin “Bubba” Brewer.
