Obituary

Pauline T. Badeau, 92, of Woonsocket died Thursday January 11, 2018 at the Friendly Home. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond G. Badeau. They were married in 1945 and shared over 37 years together until his passing in 1982.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Henri and Alma (Menard) Cournoyer. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Pauline worked at several mills in the area and was employed at Dr. Cohen’s office, Fernandes Supermarket and Rathbun Factory Outlet store.
Along with her late husband, Pauline was the first resident of Kennedy Manor at 547 Clinton St. in Woonsocket upon its opening in 1967. For 50 years she was affectionately known as the “House Mother” of Kennedy Manor. In 2017 Pauline was recognized with an award given by Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt for the many years of faithful service and dedication she gave to all those who lived at Kennedy Manor.
Pauline was also a hostess with Conway Bus Tours for many years. She provided many fun and memorable trips for her fellow travelers.
Pauline will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She had a wonderful outgoing and friendly personality.
Pauline is survived by two daughters Suzanne C. Cournoyer and her husband Ronald of Manville and Carol Ann Ferguson and her husband Jay of Cumberland. She was the grandmother of Ron, Joanne, Jim and Shannon and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services and burial are private. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
