Lawrence Mahoney passed away unexpectedly at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Friday. He was 73. A life-long Medford resident, Lawrence was the son of the late George M. and Dorothy (Lawrenson) Mahoney. Larry was devoted to his family, his wife son and daughters. He was a kind and friendly neighbor and loved his “grand dog” Charlie. He proud of his military service and very proud to be a member of the Iron workers Union. Local 7.

The beloved husband of the late Linda (Pollard), who passed away in 2014, he was a devoted father to Lawrence W. Mahoney, Valerie Valliant of Derry, NH, Stephanie O’Connor and her husband Patrick of Groveland, and Billie-Marie Mahoney of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Daniel, Jake, Sarah, Arthur, Brendan, Makenna, and Delanie. He was a dear brother of Dorothy Troisi and her husband John of Medford, Lila Maccarone and her husband Joseph “Buster” of N. Reading and the late George J. Mahoney.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, January 15th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Veterans Cemetery, Medford.
