Dorothy Ruth "Dottie" (Fillmann) Anderson, 80, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord after an extended illness.
She was born February 17, 1937 in Kentucky, the daughter of Julius A. and Ella (Padricke) Fillmann.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She worked production for 30 years at Guide Lamp Division of General Motors before retiring in May of 1999.
Dorothy is survived by her four children, Susan Clark of Westfield, Robert (Donita) Anderson of Radford, VA; Steven Anderson of Alexandria and Lori Kierstead of Anderson; brother, Reginald Fillmann, two sisters, Delores (Dallas) Corbett; Sandra (William) Layton; six grandchildren, Stacia (Scott) Lutterman, Matthew (Jennifer Clark), Michael (Raechel) Anderson, Maren Kierstead and twins Evan and Emily Anderson; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Burvia Anderson Jr. and by her sister, Charlotte Landes.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Jeff Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
