Gunning, Helen Meehan, age 95, of Quincy, formerly of Milton, passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on Monday, January 8, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas S. Gunning and Thomas M. Meehan and the devoted mother of Dr. Carole Roberts of Kentucky, Patricia Ceurvels & her husband Arthur of Hanover, Thomas G. Meehan & his wife Suzanne of Norfolk, Elaine Branca & her husband Richard of IL, Janet Fitzgerald & her husband Michael of Hanover, Michael M. Meehan of RI, Brian Meehan & his wife Madeline of Quincy as well as the dear sister of the late C. Ruth Kelley and Frederick Barrett and cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Friday morning, January 12, 2018 at 10 am. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Jimmy Fund. P.O.
