William A. Rushworth, Jr., 87, of Shore Drive, Johnston, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of the late Ellen C. (Hanosky) Rushworth who died in 2005 after 51 years of marriage.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late William A. and Myra (Thurber) Rushworth. He had lived in Johnston his whole life. He had worked most recently as a foreman at Metals Recycling before his retirement.
He is survived by his children: Susan Jutras and her husband, Joseph Jutras of Scituate, Deborah Rushworth of Johnston, James Rushworth and his fiancee, Billie Schaeffer of Glocester, his two grandchildren, Phillip and Renee and his two great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Todd Rushworth and William A. Rushworth, III.
A funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at noon in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Johnston. Visitation respectfully omitted. Donations in his memory may be made to The Comprehensive Cancer Center at Miriam Hospital.
