At the age of 92, Ernie made a peaceful transition from earthly life to the presence of Our Lord. Left to share his memory is his much loved family: Joan, his wife of 67 years; 3 children: Cindy (Andy) Ave’Lallemant, Scott, and Cathi (Kevin) Hogan; 9 grandchildren: Eric (Lynn) Ave’Lallemant, Marie (Phil) Bollman, Fawn (Jason) Dwyer, Amber (Joe) Korbal, Chad Christiansen, Heather (Ryan) Tuttle, Ryan (Kate) Hogan, Daniel (Jenny) Hogan, and Caitlin Hogan; 17 great grandchildren: Corinne, Nick, Ben, Jack, Anna, Ryan, Tyler, Lily, Aubrey, Joey, Alyvia, Tyler, Brody, Logan, Emalyn, Augie, and Michael; and many friends and relatives. Preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Ernie was a proud Navy Veteran who served in the European Theater through mid-1946. He spent his retirement on the golf course, in his workshop, traveling the world with Joan, and sharing his wit and wisdom with family and friends. Ernie will be fondly remembered for his integrity, humility, competitive spirit, Danish humor, and generosity in giving and caring for others. Our gratitude to his caregivers for the love and compassion they extended to Ernie in his final years. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, (January 27, 2018) 11:00 AM at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 N.
